There is no space in a musician's head to listen to other musicians if you're constantly trying to prove to other people that you're a good musician. There's just not enough space for those two things to occupy the same space at the same time - Bryan Beller, Groove Podcast, No Treble.
In a recent interview with Scott Devine, Michael League said, "To me, the result is important, but if we get the result at the expense of someone hating us, or being pissed off at the way they were treated... I would rather not get the result! At the end of the day, this industry is a human industry... Sometimes as people, we're focused on getting the thing, but the way in which we get the thing sometimes is more important."
